According to John Maxwell, PNE’s safety director and one of the event’s organizers, the tournament’s original objective was to strengthen the bonds between the firm and its family members, but they also viewed it as a fantastic chance to give back to the community. The Alzheimer’s Foundation was expressly chosen by the team because of its influence on the PNE family.
“We decided that we would donate the money we raised towards that because some of our Pavarini family members’ families are actually experiencing Alzheimer’s and early symptoms of dementia,” says Maxwell. Even though it’s a tiny portion, we are glad that it will contribute significantly to research and support for families dealing with the suffering caused by this illness.

Maxwell is eager to see the event continue growing. The second competition received the same positive feedback as the first. He says the group is already planning the third annual expedition for next year. They also intend to make another donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
