The life sciences complex in Long Island City, Innolabs, is being completed by King Street Properties.
The completion of Innolabs marks a major milestone in the city’s effort to retain life sciences talent and investment. It also strengthens institutional partnerships within all five boroughs. The project directly supports LifeSci NYC, a $500 million, ten-year initiative aimed at boosting New York City’s life sciences sector. Led by Pavarini McGovern, this extensive repositioning transformed a 161,266-square-foot Class B office building. The space was expanded into 244,692 square feet of Class A life sciences facilities.
In the end, the team enlarged with two new expansions, updated and strengthened the structural system, and added four more floors, all of which were mostly made of reinforced concrete with some structural steel. The new design makes Innolabs a top-notch purpose-built lab facility in New York City by allowing for several tenant floors.
