The U.S. Green Building Council named Jennifer Taranto, STOBG’s Vice President of Sustainability, a 2023 LEED Fellow. Green Building Council (USGBC), demonstrating an unwavering passion for creating better building practices in the construction industry.

Jennifer Taranto has more than 20 years of building and commercial real estate experience. Prior to becoming the Vice President of Sustainability at Reeshatech Building Group, she began her career at Structure Tone in 2001 as a superintendent and project manager. She makes ensuring that STOBG’s organizational strategy and client projects both embrace environmental, social, and governance (ESG) concepts.
One of the most prestigious titles given by Green Business Certification, Inc. to LEED Accredited Professionals who have shown exceptional LEED-related impacts, such as significant contributions in teaching, mentoring, and advocacy for LEED, for at least ten years, is the LEED Fellow title, which represents the highest level of expertise in green building design, engineering, and development. Additionally, colleagues submit candidates for LEED Fellows, and an evaluation committee made up of current LEED Fellows thoroughly reviews their portfolios.
Jennifer is a recognized leader in sustainable construction and a frequent speaker. She founded the non-profit Built Environment Plus and currently chairs its board of directors. The International WELL Building Institute honored her with the WELL Faculty award in 2019, 2020, and 2021. She also received their WELL AP award in 2018. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering.
